The Almost Human actress celebrated her 35th birthday in June at a French restaurant with her friends, including Sean Penn, who recently separated from Charlize Theron.
Yesterday, July 15, Kelly responded on Twitter to those rumors and denied having a relationship with the Oscar-winning actor, 54.
“Not my nature to address gossip but hoping this last one goes away already,” she wrote. “Not dating a friend I had a group dinner with.”
A week before Penn attended Kelly’s birthday, reports about the breakup between Penn and Theron appeared in the media.
Minka Kelly dated baseball player Derek Jeter for three years, from May 2008 to August 2011. She also was in an on-and-off relationship with Chris Evans. Kelly and Evans reportedly first dated in 2007, then the couple reunited in 2012 and they called it quits in October 2013.
